The New Year brings with it a few new projects and lots of exciting challenges.
The CLTC-C workshop in Stuttgart was extremely enjoyable and a complete success. I would like to thank all of the participants for their hard work and their openness toward new technologies. It was a privilege (and a lot of fun) to work with such great trainers. I hope this is only the beginning of a long-term professional relationship with many of them.
The workshop was a mix of presentations and hands-on assignments. We outlined the history of Blended Learning, explored Blended Learning tools and media, and covered the changing role of teacher and learner in Hybrid Learning scenarios. The participants set up their own Moodle courses and practiced creating links and forums, uploading images and mp3 files. We also enjoyed a brief virtual classroom session using the interwise virtual classroom that Bosch uses. My thanks go to the virtual classroom "guinea pigs", who made the session so much fun.
The F2F workshop was not the only time we saw each other. Of course, the best way to teach Blended Learning is to actually use Blended Learning. The trainers had been active on a Moodle platform that was set up for their course. Assignments on exploring online identity and introduction to tools and media were first introduced online and then more fully examined F2F
