  • I attended the Zukunft personal, Europe's largest specialist trade fair for HR management, again this year. I had a great time exploring the fair with Hilde Kloster, HR consultant  of Kloster + Partner who gave me so much insight on so many different issues.

I was also lucky enough to meet up with Katja Kantelberg, head of Cornelsen Akademie and Dr. Isabel Schneider, head of Cornelsen Corporate Solutions too.  After seeing a few presentations on intercultural teams and team management. I met Sylee Gore, author of an excelent short course book on marketing and advertising and co-author of another short course book on small talk and socializing. I know how difficult it is to design courses that really maximize interactivity with the participants. I know from experience that the work Sylee has done translates excellently in the training situation.  Meeting Sylee again was a real pleasure.

Another real pleasure was meeting Ke Rao of  Xiangtong -China Consulting & Training. I enjoyed her excellent intercultural briefing on China which was welcome for me just before my first trip to the Middle Kingdom. I also tried out the Chinese phrases I had been so studiously been learning in preparation for the trip on her.  I think she actually understood me (or she is exceptionally diplomatic!)
